Lauren's First Beach Trip

My mom, Lauren and I ventured to Topsail Beach to visit Jimmy, Becky and Jack Norris for the day. As mom and I were packing the car, I felt like we were going for a week or more with all of the things I packed. I had no idea what I needed so I packed about everything.;) We were very excited for Lauren to step foot on the beach for the first time and visit with some close family friends. Needless to say it was a beautiful day!

Lauren's First Oatmeal Cereal

We recently got the okay from the doctor for Lauren to start Oatmeal Cereal. Here are some pics of her first encounter. It was quite interesting!!

Lauren is Six Months Old!

Wow...Lauren is six months old! She weighs 12.5 pounds and is 25 1/4 inches long. She has the greatest little personality. She is always happy, smiling, and talking. Yep, she is talking. I'll give you one guess what she is saying...yep..da-da-da-da-da!! Of course, she makes Robbie very proud. She also has two front teeth coming in on the bottom. She is growing up so fast!! Thanks mom for the photo opt!!

Lauren Meets Aunt Norma

Lauren met her Great-Great Aunt Norma last week. They enjoyed each others company very much. Lauren has been talking a lot lately and she wanted me to type her Aunt Norma a letter. This is what she said:

Dear Aunt Norma,

It was so nice to meet you! Thank you for feeding me my bottles. I was very hungry. Thank you for playing with me and keeping me company in the back seat of Grandy's car on our outing to Emerald Isle. I really enjoyed watching you eat at Chowda Heads!I wish you would have shared some shrimp off of your shrimp burger but I understand. Thank you and Grandy for taking me to Bogue Pier. The sound of the waves and salt air put me right to sleep! I hope to see you again soon! I miss you already...I love you Aunt Normie!!

Ooh La La!

Check little Miss Lauren out in her first bikini! Her Aunt Gay bought her this bikini I think before she was even born! Doesn't she look precious! We can't wait to get her out in the boat and on the beach! You took some great pictures mom! Thank you Aunt Deb for getting her to smile!!






After the photo shoot, Lauren ate and took a nap. When she woke up my mom and Aunt Deb took her for a walk. She absolutely loves her walks!!

Lauren is Five Months Old!

Can you believe it...she is FIVE MONTHS OLD!! Lauren is changing and becoming stronger every day. She is grasping for objects and can hold her bottle by herself. She loves playing with her feet. At times you may catch her sucking on her toes! Of course...she is communicating in her own unique screeching way...gotta love her!

Robbie's Birthday and Mother's Day

We were very busy last weekend. On Saturday, we had a cookout at our house to celebrate some birthdays with some family and friends. Robbie's brother Morgan and his Dad had a birthday on the sixth and Robbie's was Sunday. Yep...it was my first Mother's Day as a new mommy AND it was Robbie's birthday!!

On Sunday, we started the day off by opening presents. I got a palm tree for the yard from Robbie and Lauren bought me an iPod. After presents we got ready and went to church. Then we went out to lunch with Robbie's parents and brother. After lunch, we ventured to Dick's Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart for a little shopping. For dinner, we went to Robbie's parents for a steak dinner. It was very yummy! Needless to say it was a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed every minute of it!!

Relay for Life

The Relay for Life of Onslow County was April 24th and 25th. It is a great fundraising event to help the fight against cancer. I was at the event with some of my co-workers from my school. I got a phone call from my brother Adam stating that he was there too with his business Best Buy. I went to the Best Buy tent to see him but they said he was walking around the track dressed up as a "Womanless Beauty!" I was like okay what is he wearing. His co-worker said, "A little bit of everything." I said, "Okay...he shouldn't be hard to find since he is 6'3." I started walking back to my tent when I saw this crowd of people dancing around this tall 6'3 person...yep it was Adam!! I couldn't believe my eyes...he was so hysterical! Anyways, they had a competition to see which beauty could walk around the track one time and raise the most money...he came in second by raising $78.00..yahoo!!!
