Robbie's Birthday and Mother's Day

We were very busy last weekend. On Saturday, we had a cookout at our house to celebrate some birthdays with some family and friends. Robbie's brother Morgan and his Dad had a birthday on the sixth and Robbie's was Sunday. Yep...it was my first Mother's Day as a new mommy AND it was Robbie's birthday!!

On Sunday, we started the day off by opening presents. I got a palm tree for the yard from Robbie and Lauren bought me an iPod. After presents we got ready and went to church. Then we went out to lunch with Robbie's parents and brother. After lunch, we ventured to Dick's Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart for a little shopping. For dinner, we went to Robbie's parents for a steak dinner. It was very yummy! Needless to say it was a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed every minute of it!!

Relay for Life

The Relay for Life of Onslow County was April 24th and 25th. It is a great fundraising event to help the fight against cancer. I was at the event with some of my co-workers from my school. I got a phone call from my brother Adam stating that he was there too with his business Best Buy. I went to the Best Buy tent to see him but they said he was walking around the track dressed up as a "Womanless Beauty!" I was like okay what is he wearing. His co-worker said, "A little bit of everything." I said, "Okay...he shouldn't be hard to find since he is 6'3." I started walking back to my tent when I saw this crowd of people dancing around this tall 6'3 person...yep it was Adam!! I couldn't believe my eyes...he was so hysterical! Anyways, they had a competition to see which beauty could walk around the track one time and raise the most money...he came in second by raising $78.00..yahoo!!!

Maryland Trip

Lauren made her first Maryland trip on April 17. We drove up with Grandma Karen and Uncle Morgan. Lauren was absolutely wonderful in the car!!! Robbie went up a couple days earlier with his dad. He wanted to get some fishing in!! Lauren's great-grandmother Mum Mum was getting married. The weather was beautiful and the ceremony was too. Lauren enjoyed meeting all of her Maryland family!

Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter with Lauren! We started our Sunday by going to church and listening to Grandpa Robert. Grandma Karen sang beautifully in the choir! They were so happy to see she finally fit in her Easter dress that Grandma Karen bought her!!

After church, we headed home for a quick bottle. Then we went to the Morton's for an Easter Egg Hunt and family gathering with Robbie's relatives. The food was great. Lauren was sleepy so she missed out on the egg hunt but woke up with many smiles to share!

Lauren and her sleep...

Well...I have been asked many times how Lauren is doing with her sleep at night and my response is....OUTSTANDING!! I tell you what...Robbie and I could not ask for a more perfect daughter. Her night routine is to have a bottle between 7:30-8:00pm, bath between 8:00-8:30pm, storytime, and then off to bed. Can you believe that she will fall asleep around 9:00pm and not wake up until around 8:00am or even later the next morning!!! See why she is so perfect...how lucky are we!!! :)

Happy Birthday Poppy!

Last night we went to my parents house for my dad's birthday. We had pizza, cake and ice cream. Lauren got to visit with Nana, Poppy, and Uncle Adam. Lauren got her Poppy an eco-friendly seed starter kit to plant his Poppy seeds in. How smart is she to find Poppy seeds for her Poppy!!

Lauren is Three Months Old!

Can you believe it...Lauren is already three months old!! She is growing up so fast. Lately she has been amazed with her hands and feet. Once she focuses in on them she stares and smiles at them. She has been cooing a lot and trying to talk. Most of the time she sounds like a Teradactyl!
