Towler Wedding

We headed down to Lancaster, South Carolina for the lovely wedding of David (Robbie's cousin) and Sarah Marie. We have been anxiously awaiting the wedding for a long time since Lauren was the flower girl! We were happy that the event was finally here. It was a beautiful day and a happy day for all!

Hello from the Hall's!

Well...it has been a while since I have updated the blog. Where does the time go! I have been enjoying my Spring Break from school this week. I enjoyed Easter with the family, some boat time with the hubby, a beach day with the family and a lunch outing with a great friend. I only have 28 days of school left until summer but who is counting?! Life is Good!

Robbie has been busy chartering and drafting. He works just for himself now! We hope the two jobs together will be a dynamic duo! I've added a link to Robbie's fishing charter website on the right hand side of the blog. Check it out! We are working on creating a drafting one!

Lauren is growing up so fast. She is such a "girlie girl" and a "dirt girl" all in one. She loves to play dress up with her princess shoes and dresses. She will dance and twirl around! She loves her "babies." She will line them up on the couch and have conversations with them. She will feed them with a pretend bottle, burp them, hold them and rock them. She says "I'm their mommy!" She also LOVES to be outside. Her first words in the morning are "Can we go outside?" It will be time to get ready for bed and she will be asking to go outside! She loves to run, swing, work in the garden and go for walks to see the horses. She even named the horses up the road from my parents house: Brownie, Opal and Pearl. Brownie is her favorite! The girl also talks up a storm. It is amazing the conversations you can have with her and you can't get anything by her! She has been fascinated about talking about Baby Hall. Robbie's brother Jon and his wife Blair are expecting a baby in June. They are waiting for the delivery to see what they are having. Lauren will look at me and say "Member Baby Hall?" with the biggest smile. She is so excited to see and meet Baby Hall! We are currently working on counting to 10 and singing the ABC's. She counts 1,2,4,9 on her own but with help she does pretty good. For the ABC's she says A,B,C, slow and Q,R,W,X,Y,Z really fast. Hey...its progress! She loves the movie The Sound of Music. Aunt Bebby found her the music soundtrack. She loves singing Do-Re-Mi! Finally, we have been working on Lauren's wedding day walk. She is the flowergirl in David(Robbie's cousin)and Sarah Marie's wedding in June. She has her dress, which she is eager to show everyone! David's sister Danielle is a bridesmaid, Robbie's dad is performing part of the ceremony and Robbie is the best man so it is going to be a wonderful sight to see them all up at the alter together!

Well...I think that is our lives in a nut shell. God Bless and love to all...we are living and enjoying every moment!

April 26 at Onslow Beach

It was a trial beach day run before the warm sunny beach days. The weather was nice but a bit cool. It didn't seem to bother Lauren. She was excited to play in the sand. Mom and Aunt Deb enjoyed shell searching while Gammy and I caught up and enjoyed watching Lauren. We did have a few stray sprinkles but nothing we couldn't handle. We just marched up to the cabanas and rode it out. Isn't Onslow Beach great!

Easter

On Saturday, I took Lauren to our church for some fun Easter activities. Aunt Bebby and Gammy met us there. Lauren enjoyed some egg decorating, coloring and an egg hunt. After the egg hunt we had a cookout. The food was yummy! It was fun to see Lauren interact with her church buddies. We all had a great time!

Lauren saw her friend Eliana!

When it came to the egg hunt Lauren bypassed all of the eggs and ran straight for the slide. I think she picked up maybe 10...if that!

We began our Easter morning by showing Lauren that the Easter bunny came. She walked over to her basket "beach bucket" to see her goodies. Of course, she just looked at the books with a quick glimpse. She got a new "Princess" night light, some nerf throwers, some butterfly containers filled with her favorites...goldfish and pretzles with peanut butter and two special eggs that had $1 in each. You should have seen her eyes light up when she saw the dollars. She grabbed them and headed straight for her piggy bank! Then in was time to get ready for church!

Lauren enjoying some bubbles that Grandma was blowing!

I just love how she is using her other hand to help her stay steady!

After church, we headed home. We had to get ready to go to the Morton's for our annual Easter cookout and egg hunt. I made rice krispie eggs with mini pink and yellow morsels. They were yummy if I may say so myself!

After lunch, we got ready for the egg hunt. Uncle Dan led the kiddos with a pre-egg hunt cheer!

Lauren did much better today with picking up eggs. Probably because there wasn't a slide or swing around!

The kiddos counting their eggs. There was 82 to find. Lauren found 20! Yippee!
