Robbie's mom Karen (Grandma) and I took Lauren to Morehead City. We went to the Seafood Festival. It was crowded but we had a great time. Here is a picture of them walking after the festival.
Lauren at her friend Cougar's birthday party! She enjoyed the chocolate and bouncy!
It is so funny how Atlantic storms are. We brace for Hurricane Igor, who was a strong Category 4. It brushed our coast as a Category 1. We braced for the worst...which felt like nothing...we were lucky! Then came Extratropical Storm Nicole and what do we get...A FLOOD! Robbie and I headed out to Walmart and took some shots on our way. I have never seen our area flood like it did. It was crazy and a tad bit scary at times! It rained so much that it completely filled Robbie's boat. The news said our area received 21 inches in a day and a half. We only had two minor leaks in our house. There were others in the county whose homes were flooded and many roads were washed out. Once again...we were lucky!

September 25th was a beautiful day at the Base Beach. The Norris family came for the day and we were blessed with great weather, conversations and lots of fun! Mom and Becky enjoyed a long walk, sunning and catching up. Lauren enjoyed the boys'(Poppy, Jimmy and Jack) company. She was pure entertainment. I enjoyed capturing the moments! It was a great day!

Lauren was in a silly mood this day. She was acting like a model and showing me some of her many "poses!" It was so funny. She has on a shirt that was mine when I was little. She threw on some beads, found her props and a posing she went! Gotta love her!
Lauren and I made a trip to Beaufort to watch Robbie and his friend Tommy weigh in their fish for the RedFish Action series. Lauren liked seeing all of the "fishies!" They did good in the tournament. This was the third and final cup of the series. They placed 7th for the final cup and 10th overall! There were 30 boats in the tournament. So proud of them!
The weather for the Labor Day holiday was BEAUTIFUL! We played a lot outside. It was in the 80's with a slight breeze. It couldn't have been more perfect!
She spent Saturday playing in her pool!
On Sunday, we made our way to Hammock's Beach to do some shelling!
I'm ready to find some shells!
