4th of July!

We were very busy this 4th of July. To begin our day we went to church where we had our VBS performace. After the performance, we had a 4th of July picnic at church. We had a great time and were very proud of Lauren!

We then headed home for a quick nap before we headed to the family reunion. Robbie's family always has a family reunion on the first sunday in July. The food and conversations were great. Lauren enjoyed playing on the playground! She also won a sand bucket with toys and a tiara with a wond from the raffle.

After the reunion, we went to my parents house to visit them and Uncle Adam. After our visit, we headed home for sparklers and a few fireworks. Lauren thought they were neat. I would ask her if they were "pretty" and she would shake her head yes and say, "pretty!" Then it was finally time for bed only to realize little bit was running a fever of 102.2...oh no...I thought she was just warm from the heat! She is better today so I am thinking it was caused from teething. She is teething up a storm. All in all, it was an eventful day! We hope you all had a safe and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Pretty SPARKLERS!

Vacation Bible School

Lauren attended her first VBS this past week! She had a little hard time adjusting the first night in the nursery. She did not want to be away from me. Needless to say she hung around with me and her Uncle Dan. I wasn't sure if I should bring her back the next night but I really wanted her to get used to staying with other people and meeting new friends. The rest of the week went a lot better. She enjoyed playing with her new friends, singing, dancing and blowing bubbles! I was so proud of her on Sunday when she received her VBS certificate and having perfect attendance!

Aunt Normie Visits!

We were so excited to hear that Aunt Normie was coming up from Georgia for a visit! We always love having her in sunny NC! The last time Lauren saw her was when she was 4 months old. Lauren was able to show a little more of her personality this time...I mean A LOT MORE! My mom watches Lauren on Friday's so she took Lauren in town to Jacksonville to visit Aunt Normie, Grandy and Papa. I hear she had them up and moving. Lauren had all of them up and dancing on a rug that is in my grandparents livingroom. She would not let them sit down! If they tried, she would nudge them back! HILLARIOUS! Lauren and I made another trip Wednesday. We wanted to see Aunt Normie one more time before she left on Thursday. Well...she picked up right where she left off on Friday...more dancing! She even shared some of her cookies. Seriously...she went up to all of us and made us take a bite! We even made a phone call to Aunt Bebby. Lauren was walking around the livingroom just having a grand ole' conversation with her Aunt Bebby! It was so funny! Gotta love her for keeping us young!!

Which led to...DANCING!

Whew...we need a rest!!

Come on ladies!!

Until next time Aunt Normie! We love and miss you already! ((HUGS)) XOXO

Lauren at the Garden!

We are very lucky that Lauren is able to stay with family instead of being in daycare. She is being exposed to many great qualities from both sides of our family! Robbie's grandma and grandpa watches Lauren on Wednesday's and Thursday's. Well...GiGi invested in a car seat and guess where their first trip was to...the GARDEN! Robbie's family has a garden that is at his parents house. We are also lucky to have Aunt Ruth and Uncle Floyd who are able to capture the moments while Robbie and I are at work! Here are some recent garden pics!

LOVE THIS PIC!!!

Our Trip to Georgia!

Lauren and I made our first trip to Georgia with Poppy. My cousin Amber was graduating high school so we thought it would be a great time to make our first trip! It was a quick visit. We went down on a Friday and came back Sunday. Lauren did a great job in the car. Let me just say her new nickname is "Chatty Lauren!" The girl babbled, talked and let out a few high pitch screams the whole way there! Poppy and I couldn't help but laugh. I'm not sure if it was because of her or if we were going delerious! It took us 9 hours to get there and she FINALLY decided to take a nap the last hour and half. The trip back was about the same. Whew...what a ride!

Ahhh...sleep baby girl! ;)

We were very busy during our short visit. We arrived around 4:30pm and we were at Amber's graduation at 6:30pm. Lauren did great! She even "rolled the dice" for a couple of people! Needless to say, she was performing!

The next day we ventured off to visit Aunt Patty Jo! We walked around her farm where we saw dogs, cats, horses and mules! Lauren loved them all!

After our visit, Aunt Patty Jo took us to her new feed store! She loved running around her property. We even walked on a path through the woods that led us to the Indian Springs State Park. It was really neat!

Lauren's First Boat Ride!

Robbie and I have been waiting for the day to take Lauren out on the boat. We bought her a life jacket and Robbie explained to Lauren that she has to wear it to go on the boat. About a week prior, we started putting it on Lauren so she would get the hang of it. We all know they are not comfortable! Every time we put it on her she would walk to the window, point to the boat and say "boat!" We would say, "Yes...boat." Robbie would even take her outside and put her in it so she could get used to it. She would run around and giggle. We were hoping this would be a good sign for her big day!

We took her out Saturday and it was gorgeous! My mom, Grandy and Aunt Bebby came along. Lauren did not care for the ride to the beach. She would cry on and off. Once her feet hit the sandbar she was gone! She enjoyed playing, running and entertaining! All in all, I think her first trip was a success! Yahoo!! Of course, I took many pictures to capture the moments. I hope you enjoy! We sure did!

Let the ride begin!

Lauren: "Momma, boat!" in a crying voice!
Momma: "Yes, Lauren, you are on the boat!"

Ah...land! See Ya!!!!
