Lauren turns 2!

I can't believe our precious, little Lauren has turned 2! Words cannot explain how blessed we are to have her. She brings so much joy and laughter into our lives each and every day with her beaming smile and personality! She is growing up to be such a "girl!" She loves playing with her bebe's (baby's), singing in microphones, coloring, putting stickers on herself and others, dancing, playing in forts, watching movies and being outside. She is talking so good! I love when she says "I love you","Thank You Welcome" in one breath, "Come on" when she wants you to play or see something, "You Happy?" and "I hold you" with her arms opened wide. We always have a little giggle when she is having conversations with her babies. It melts our hearts. She loves to eat! Some of her favorite foods are grits, eggs, cheerios, cottage cheese with pineapple and cinnamon, yogurt, cheese, crackers, broccoli, tomatoes, pickles, rice, olives, cheese puffs, popsicles and Gammy's tuna fish sandwiches to name a few! We are blessed with good eater!

For her birthday, she had a Princess Dora Party, which was held at "Lauren's Castle!" She had about 45 guests including friends and family! She had four little friends who came: Ryleigh, Rosie, Brody and Cougar. I wish I got a picure of them all together! Ugh... The weather did not cooperate. It rained the whole day but that didn't stop us from having fun. We made beaded bracelets, colored and of course had a spread of food! We had an amazing fiesta...taco bar, chicken tortilla soup, quesadillas, chicken wings, taco salad and sausage and rotell dip. Can we say yummy!! After eating, Lauren opened her presents and then we had cake and ice cream! It was a wonderful day!

UNC vs. Kentucky

Mom, Dad, Adam and I headed to Chapel Hill to see a UNC basketball game vs. Kentucky! It was an awesome game. UNC won 75-73!! To make the day even better, we came out of the Dean Smith Center to a blanket of snow!

Thanksgiving in Maryland!

We headed up north to Maryland for Thanksgiving to visit Robbie's family. It was a little colder than it was at home. Ok...more than a little. We had a great time! After Thanksgiving dinner, we headed to the Turkey Point Lighthouse to walk off our delicious meal. It was so beautiful to see the lighthouse and views of the Chesapeake Bay.

Hello from Maryland!

Carolina Girl...Best in the World!

Lauren was a UNC cheerleader for Halloween. Robbie's mother, Karen, gave Lauren the cheerleading outfit and I thought it would be the perfect costume. We added hair bows, tarheel feet tattoos and pom pom's around her wrists. I might say...she was so sinkin' cute all decked out in carolina blue!

Getting ready to go trick-or-treating!

First, we went to my friend Michelle's house. We stopped by to cheer her up since she is recovering from surgery. Her daughter Ryleigh was a princess. They were so cute together.

On our way to GiGi and Papa's house. Lauren is saying "Trick-or-Treat!"

She got some lollipops, bananas and ravioli. Yummy! You know Lauren always gets some good food at GiGi and Papa's house!

Next, we headed to Nana and Poppy's (my parents) house. Lauren knocked on the door and to our surprise a sumo wrestler opened the door. Lauren was not sure how to react. She kept backing up away from Poppy. Once inside, Poppy gave us a few poses, which eventually made Lauren cry so he had to ditch the costume! Nana was there videotaping to get the experience on tape! She was happier when she got her treat...an oatmeal raisin cake!

Then we headed to Grandma and Granddad's (Robbie's parents) house. Lauren got some pretzles, candy corn and a card with $2 for her second Halloween. They also had another surprise that daddy did not know...a Maryland Terrapins jacket. Granddad is a Maryland fan! Daddy said Maryland red is ok...just not NC State red!

Lauren saying..."Shhhh!"

Lauren playing with her favorite ducky toy!

We ended our night by stopping by Aunt Dottie and Uncle Phil's (Robbie's aunt and uncle) house. They had one of Lauren's favorites...Gripz Cheez'It crackers.

All in all, it was a great Halloween. It was so cute watching Lauren hold out her bag, say trick-or-treat and the ultimate..."Raa-Raa!"
