If there is one word to describe Lauren it is HAPPY!! She is always smiling or talking and is the "bestest baby" as my mom would say. The only time she is fussy is when she sees her bottle getting made or is getting sleepy. She is sitting up by herself now. She is starting to scoot around but has not started crawling yet. I think it is in the near future. We had to move her crib down to the lower level because she has mastered getting up on her knees and looking out the side of her crib. She is getting "SO BIG" as my Aunt Deb would say!!!
Robbie and I went to our first Carolina Tarheel football game. We had a blast!! Carolina played the Citadel and beat them 40-6! Lauren stayed the night at my parents house since it was a late game. It was her first night away from home and us!! The game and Lauren were both wonderful!! Here are some pics from the game...
At halftime, they recognized this past seasons basketball team for becoming NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and presented them with their rings...GO TARHEELS!!!
Robbie and I decided we wanted to take Lauren to see the fishes at the aquarium. She absolutely loved it!! She kept turning her head in all directions and pointing at the tanks. Sometimes it would sound like she would say, "What's that?" She picked out a souvenir from the gift shop...her own little sea turtle! After the aquarium we went and had lunch in downtown Morehead City on the waterfront. Our little family had a perfect day! Love~
Lauren and I decided to ride up with Grandma Karen and Great Grandma Dolly to visit her Uncle Jon and Aunt Blair in Virginia. She did very well in the car! Jon took us to Blair's family farm where she played in the tobacco and tried to visit the cows but they were sleeping. We also went to the local firestation and apple picking in Jon and Blair's yard. Lauren was experiencing lots of new things so we called the day, "Lauren's first field trip!" Here are a few pictures. We hope to visit again soon!!
It is hard to believe that Lauren is eight months old!! She is definitely starting to show her personality. She has become squirmy!! She still only has two teeth but I think she is in the teething mode again...chewing on everything! She continues to roll over to get to places instead of crawling. She is saying "dada" and yes..."momma!" Sometimes we think she says other words like "Hi!" She has discovered her fingers. She loves taking her pointer finger and touching things or rubbing to feel different textures. It is just so fascinating to just sit back and watch her! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HER~
Lauren is wearing a homemade dress that her Great Grandma Dolly got for her in Hawaii!
We hope you enjoy our little spot. It is our way of sharing news and pictures with our family and friends. We love you all and hope you will check back with us often!! Please feel free to leave comments!! :)
