Grandma Karen and Grandpa Robert Babysit!

Well...Robbie and I went on our first date tonight since Lauren was born. We went bowling at MACDADDY'S (I won!!) and ate dinner at Ballyhoos. The evening was great and we only talked about her a few times...yeah right!! Grandma Karen and Grandpa Robert took care of her. It felt so weird not having her with us but we enjoyed ourselves and I know Lauren did too with her grandparents. Thank you Grandma Karen and Grandpa Robert!

Lauren Meets the Conner's

On Friday, we had our good friends Ann Marie, Paul, and their two daughters Ashton and Ainsley over for dinner. It was good to see them and catch up. Lauren was well taken care of throughout their visit by Ashton and Ainsley. They helped me out tremendously by: helping make her bottle, holding her and talking to her, playing with her while she played in her gym, making sure her blanket stayed on her while in her swing, and finally making sure Lauren always had her pacifier when she wanted it. They were always so gentle and careful with her! Thank you girls!!!

Lauren Meets the Maryland Clan!

Lauren met many new faces from Maryland this past weekend. She met her great-grandma Mum Mum and her friend Mark, and her Uncle Jimmy and his two kids Chrissy and Jimmy. Unfortunately, I forgot the camera and did not get any pictures. Sorry!

She also met Aunt Trish and Rich who came for the weekend trip.

Lauren was very excited to meet everyone. She was actually awake! Lauren, Robbie, and I enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up! We hope to see them all again soon!

Lauren Goes to School!

I finally took Lauren to my school for the first time. My first grade class has been patiently waiting to meet her since August!! I had two students who were moving so I thought it would be a perfect time to stop by before they left. My class was amazed by her. They said, "She is so small!" and "Oh...she is so cute!" I think they liked her...but who wouldn't!

Afterwards, Lauren met two of my best friends Meredith and Shannon who work at the school with me. She did not have a choice because they "kidnapped" her! He..He!

Shannon is expecting her first child in March. She is having a boy and his name is going to be Brody. We joke about how she is carrying Lauren's future husband! Robbie hates that!!

It was good to see everyone at school and to catch up on what has been going on. My time at home is quickly flying by. It is hard to believe I will be back at school on March 2...eeek!!

Lauren Visits Grandy and Papa

After a long day of shopping, Lauren, Nana Laura, and I stopped by to visit Grandy and Papa. We try to stop by each time we are in town. Lauren likes to visit them!! Grandy and Papa were so excited to see us! They were so amazed at how she has grown. We love Grandy and Papa so much!!

The Day After...

We woke up this morning to a bright, beautiful sunny day. The yard was gorgeous with the sun gleaming onto the snow. Once again...I thought of photo opportunities. I grabbed the camera and off I went!! I soon came back to get Lauren! I know...another picture...but it snowed!! It was a special occasion. He..He! :)

A Day of Firsts...

Yesterday was a day of firsts for Lauren! She watched the Inaguration of the 44th President Barack Obama and if that wasn't enough...she witnessed her first snow!!! Yes...it snowed..can you believe it!!! The snow started around 11:45am and it snowed until we went to bed. It was absolutely beautiful! Nana Laura had the day off from work so Poppy drove her over. Isn't she lucky we only live 2.7 miles away!! As soon as she walked into our house, I looked at her and said we have to get some pictures!!! We had so much fun posing in the snow!!

Bath Time!!!

Lauren enjoyed her first big girl bath last night. We have been giving her a sponge bath, which she has hated!! So... we were a little nervous on this new endeavor. To our surprise, she loved being in the warm water! The only cry we heard was when we took her out! After her bath, we settled down to watch some American Idol before bedtime!

Lauren Meets Joanna!

On Tuesday, Nana Laura came over to have lunch. We invited our dear friend Joanna over. She has been waiting to meet Lauren. She even brought Lauren a generous gift...clothes!!! We enjoyed lunch and catching up! As usual...Lauren slept most of the time but woke up to meet Joanna! She is such a good baby!!!

While mommy and Nana continued to visit with Joanna, Lauren enjoyed some back and tummy time!

Daddy Time!!!

I was laying in bed watching The Biggest Loser when I heard Robbie in the nursery. I got up to take a look and there they were...reading the book Love You Forever. I only disturbed them for a quick moment to take a few pictures! I couldn't pass this moment up!!
