Lauren is One Month Old!

It is hard to believe that Lauren turned a month old this past Sunday! She is growing up so fast. It is so easy to hold and stare at her for minutes to hours on end! I thank God everyday for her and giving me a chance to become a mother...words just cannot explain!!

Lauren's First Walk

Nana Laura came over this past Saturday. We decided to take Lauren for a walk down our road since it was a beautiful day!! Lauren didn't see much since she was asleep but I am sure she enjoyed the fresh air!!

Lauren in her carseat that snapped into the stroller! Doesn't she look precious!

Lauren's First Trip to Jacksonville

Lauren and I ventured to Jacksonville this past Friday to check out Goody's closing store prices and to go by Babies R Us. It was the first time her and I have been out to town by ourselves. On our way we stopped by Grandy and Papa's house to say Hi! They were very excited to see her! Lauren and I invited Grandy to come shopping with us and to have lunch at Chick-fil-A!! We had so much fun!

On our way back to Grandy's house, we stopped by Grandma Karen's work to say Hi. Everyone was so excited to meet and greet Lauren...especially Grandma Karen!!

Lauren meets Hanna!

Lauren and I went over to Nana and Poppy's house for lunch on Sunday. While we were there Poppy's pet squirrel Hanna stopped by. Hanna had fallen out of a tree when Tropical Storm Hanna was approaching. She was a baby and Poppy has been raising her ever since. She has her own little home in Poppy's garage where she used to sleep and eat. She has recently ventured out into the "wild" to live and play with her friends but she comes back every so often to eat and to get her back massage from Poppy! Yes...she lets Poppy rub her back and behind her ears!!!

Hanna enjoying sunflower seeds on Poppy's front deck!

Poppy feeding Hanna peanuts!

I got to feed Hanna peanuts for the first time! It was so cool!!!

Where is Lauren?

Nana Laura came over to visit Saturday. She helped me take down Christmas decorations. She brought over a shirt that I wore as a baby. We decided to try it on Lauren and take some pictures. It started with Lauren wearing the shirt and posing with Penelope Jayne (pink bear from Aunt Jayne), her lamb (from Aunt Norma) and her first doll (from the Redlinger's in Georgia). Nana Laura continued to put other animals around her and it made me think of the Where's Waldo books so...I got the idea to put all of her stuffed animals and dolls around her. It started out with her sleeping and then she woke up. Mom and I could not quit laughing at her facial expressions! You had to be here!!!

Peacefully sleeping!

She's awake...say cheese!!

Ok...enough of the pictures!!

Happy New Year!!

Welcome 2009!!! It sounds so crazy saying Lauren was born last year!! Ha-Ha! January 1st was a great day! To start the day off, we got a visit from Grandma Karen, Grandpa Robert, and Uncle Morgan. Grandma Karen said, "What you do today you will do the rest of the year..." so they came to visit Lauren!!

Later on in the day, Nana Laura came over with my Aunt Deb to visit Lauren. Afterwards, I took Lauren over to my parents house to celebrate her Nana's birthday and to visit with her Poppy and Unk (as my brother Adam likes to say it). We had a good dinner and then Nana opened up her presents. We even had Oreo pie for dessert! All Nana Laura wanted for her birthday was Lauren...can't you tell from her pictures...priceless!!

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Whew...we were very busy this Christmas holiday! It was filled with lots of love, laughter and oohing and ahhing! As can be expected...Lauren stole the show!

We enjoyed Christmas Eve with Robbie's family at Aunt Gay and Uncle Dan's house. I think Lauren got the most presents!!

The next morning, we enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Day breakfast at Grandma Dolly and Papa Ed's house!

Later that day, we had a Christmas Day steak dinner at our house. Lauren visited with Adam (Unk), his friend Josh, Mom and Dad (Nana and Poppy), Aunt Deb, and Nana (Grandy) and Papa.

The day after Christmas, we had dinner at Robbie's parents house. His brother Jon and his wife Blair came down from Virgina. We opened gifts with his family and Lauren got a surprise visit from Santa!!

On Saturday, Lauren was visited by some close friends of the family: Aunt Becky, Uncle Jimmy, and Drew! Nana and Poppi came over to visit too!

Robbie, Lauren, and I enjoyed this holiday very much. We are so blessed to be a part of so many loving families!!

Lauren at 38 Weeks Old

I had a doctors appointment today and everything looked good. She is laying contently, which means she is still breech. We have eight more days until her scheduled delivery on December 11th. As in every picture, the blur on the side of her face is her hand. You can really see her eyes, nose, and mouth. Isn't she so precious!!!
